How COVID-19 has affected travel photography - Quarantine Quality Podcast Ep 8
The struggles of a travel photographer unable to travel.
COVID-19 has hit the travel industry like none other. Talking about the travel industry’s losses is difficult, as the data changes as quickly as the virus spreads, however, the World Travel and Tourism Council projects a global loss of 75 million jobs and $2.1 trillion loss of revenue.
In the UK, Flybe, a regional airline, has gone into administration and Virgin Atlantic warns it may suffer a similar fate.
The situation has left many stranded and out of work.
In this episode of the Quarantine Quality Podcast, we speak to Nilla, a travel photographer, blogger and a technical writer who was not able to leave Australia due to the pandemic.
Nilla tells us how COVID-19 has affected her travel photography and explains how the coronavirus has affected Australia.
She also delves into tips on the best practices to travel around the world, whether backpacking, by motorhome or by boat; and tells us how she was detained at a UK airport because Border Patrol thought she was trying to extend her visa.
